so why would a busy moderator move a general question to troubleshooting forum? post in questionI am not interested in the cause of the troublecode, that's not my concern at this point and I have an idea anyway. I asked a general question about the inner logic of PCM and I indicated as much in the subject line. whoever moved my question was not capable of answering the question but was confident enough that I am incapable of posting in the appropriate forum. that's ironic so in other words I appreciate the moderator's effort, but I guess I fail to see a reason behind it.

I don't know who did it, but I agree with them.
You want to know what would make the CEL stay off, and what problem you could have that would leave the light off.
(WHAT PROBLEM YOU COULD HAVE...)
Overzealous? I think so.. but only towards your reply, and not the moderation.

I concur - nothing better to do than start another post bitching about moderators? Get a life. I'm sick of people badmouthing and questioning moderators. There has been way too much crying on CEG lately - a lot of people need to stop being so overly-sensititve about everything.

Nice way to treat a longtime veteran Pete. Really setting a good example as a Mod. He's not looking to fix his car through this post he's wanting to know the programming logic of the chip. When did computer programming become troubleshooting? And let's be honest, which forum is more apt to generate the necessary traffic to answer such a question?

you know, it's funny The mods get criticized for favoritism for veteran members vs. newbs, and now they're being criticized for not favoring veteran members?

But you banned yourself aftwerwards. Look... It doesn't matter who is a long time vet... the fact is, THE WAY his post was worder seemed like troubleshooting, apparently not only to the one who moved it.. to be and a few others as well.. and if you want to be honest... the forum that will get it answered is likely Troubleshooting. that's where those who have the technical ability GO to help.
