So I am dropping the Engine out of my car because i spun a rod bearing and i decided after 1 year of it sitting that i was going to fix it.

I have just about everything disconnected ready to lower it except i can not figure out how to remove the hose / lines for the 2 that run to the AC condensor. Around to the other part of the car.

They are metal into a hose, it almost looks as if they are crimped. I have searched and can not find any info , as anyonoe removed these before? Or know how?

My Chilton manual is no help and i am at a stand still with the project until i get this part done.

Thanks in advance for the help.

There are two nuts/screws that hold the two A/C lines onto the condensor (passenger side of the condensor). Remove the the two nuts/screws and the lines will come off. Make sure you have evacuated the A/C system prior to removal!

Why would you not want to remove the lines from condensor? And I believe the fittings are crimped on the hoses, so removing the fitting from the hose is not possible.

the lines are stopping me from lowering the engine. If i can get those lines out i will be all set. I noticed one of the lines connnects to a black cylendar on the drivers side, just looks like there wont be enough room to pull the line all the way down through the other part ot the engine.

Is there a way to take off the ne like tat connects to the compressor, not the front condensor. (see the second picture on the post above)

Can't answer that one - sorry. Looks like you would have to remove the A/C to get it off. Gonna have to get some input from someone who has a little more knowledge on that than me.
