WTF are you talking about?
I was wondering the same thing. For one the tailgate had a large dent in it when i bought it. @nd, the pro net (although not most apealing part of truck) saves money on gas. And since its a 5.2 V8 i can use any and all help.
Its an old rumor that without any lateral support between the top corners of the back of the bed they will begin to bend inwards. I have NEVER heard or seen any proof to support it, even with my own old truck.

I Understand the gas savings idea, but if you are that concerned put the tailgate down for driving, up when you park. I'd rather have a tailgate that's dented and the wrong color than that nasty shiz. pro-net screams loser ditch it before the reputation sticks.
