Well it seems both my rear struts are done for. 260K isnt a bad run. Was replacing them this weekend and wanted to know if there are any gotch ya's anyone can give me a heads up on.

if you have rear drum brakes you need to be very careful of the hard lines


we used a small block of wood to keep the strut from seating itself on the stop when extended so we could compress it and pull it out around the hard lines, otherwise you have to open the brake system up

I'm impressed, 260K miles on Pennsylvania roads is like 1000K anywhere else!
