I have searched, and read all the debates about which plugs are better, and how some people are hit and miss with NGKs.

I got NGKs because they were on sale, and store didnt carry autolites or Motorcrafts.

I got NGK Iridium IX, however i'm confused about one thing. On double platium plugs, (if i understand correctly), both ends are platinum,... on these NGK plugs, it doesnt say both ends are iridium?? In the "AGSF22FSM VS AWSF32-PP PLUGS" someone mentioned it is a must both ends be platinum???

If this is the case, did i get wrong NGK plugs? Can i still use the ones i bought? They are NGK TR55IX.

Thanks

MOST Iridium plugs have a fine wire Iridium center annode and a regular ground strap.

As of now Autolite's XP series is the only Iridium plug to have an enhanced platinum ground. (Though some OEM GM's might as well as AC Delco uses some Iridium plugs now)

If you were going to spend the extra money and run Iridiums I would only get NipponDenso. They have over & over shown much better results then NGK.

However as a "general recommendation" I would use a Motorcraft fine wire or maybe the new Autolite's XPs.

id recomend just getting ur OEM plugs ,
i had the NGKs in my maro , fan fine, always had a slight rough idle

added headers to my car and it was a whole diff story , ended up going back to OEM plugs and it runs very smooth
