Just like the title said any recomendations where shoudl I look first what type of shops thanks.

The best 'stick shift' trans shop you can find,talk to the techs/boss,see some examples of the work etc,ask questions,do they know the MTX75 etc,do they build race boxes,stay away from auto box shops,they dont usually have a 'cog box' guy.Maybe the Ford dealer has a 'tranny' king?

Sorry if this is stupid but what is the MTX75

Our gearbox (stick shift) as per Fords discription.

MTX=Manual Transmission- ATX= Auto Trans.
Don't limit yourself to Seattle. Tacoma and Olympia have shops that will do it. There is a guy in Olympia that specializes in Rally cars, i believe he's still in the phone book.(can't remember his name) Look under "race shop's" and "performance shop's" ask around, there alot of builders/tuners/racers in that area.

To be spot on:- M=Manual T=Transaxle X=TransaXle (front wheel drive) 75= distance(in mm) between input & output shafts) per FMC

Thanks a lot you guys I figure this is a good first mod to do on the car before I add the exhaust and supercharger do you all feel the same way? What is a fair price on labor by the way? Yeah I wasnt really limiting it to seattle I meant the surrounding areas as well.

Nothing negative intended by that, I lived down in Tacoma for a while and there are alot of people doing crazy things with cars. There is a huge Japanese presence in the Northwest,(as youve noticed) don't be surprised if you see a Skyline GTR, 180SX or Mitsu Evo5/6 crusing around town. BTW There is also a guy in Tacoma that own's Turbo Technology. He's a wired in dude, and could point you in the right direction.

I believe there is a good place in Kirkland... lemme look it up and I'll let you know!
