If I have a cable(Comcast) modem and I am trying to hook up wireless can I just hook the wireless modem up to the cable modem or do I need to go through another regular router.

Also why is it that when you hook a router up to a cable modem you do not need to have any software to pick up the internet?

Most times you get a wireless router and hook that up. do you have a wireless access point or a wireless router?

Also for cable you may need to go into the router config and clone the MAC address of the network card in your computer for the internet to work thru the router.
