after some wheel hop between 1 and 2 about 1.5 weeks ago, i have a deep droning sound coming from tires. this occurs at all speeds, but the worst is between 50 and 65 or so. it happens when going straight or going left. as soon as i turn the wheel right even slightly, it goes completely away. any help/insight would be greatly appreciated. thank you.

Sounds like a wheel bearing, more specifically the front passenger side. Don't know what else the wheel hop may have damaged, though.

id say its an axle or wheel bearing
u say it gets worse when u go left but goes away when u go right
id have the left side axel and wheel bearing checked
ur more prone to break an axel when having wheel hop

Edited for accuracy. The sound going away is from the weight shifting OFF of the suspected axle. Since the sound goes AWAY when he turns right, it is likely the right side that is affected.

I had this EXACT same problem a couple months ago, I had to replace the front left wheel bearing (Yes, the DRIVERS side bearing), and to make matters even more interesting, we split the bearing we took out and it looked ... perfectly fine... no scoring or heat related wear signs.
Very poorly on my part I drove with the bearing making this noise for about a month or so, and got a good idea of the sound, it can be very misleading where it's coming from but reproducing the sound is very is, anything off center to the left would result in a droning sound. Everyone thought I was nust for wanting to change the left, but after hanging me head out the window on a couple left hand turns I was convinced. I had gotten a Ford Stealership to inspect the car ($20 CAN) and they said the same thing (I had only said a droning and described the actions to repro the sound, not my thoughts on the matter). So I just went with it.
