Here's the deal, I just had my suspension changed and the rear subframe boxed in. I also had the rear rotors and pads changed. When I took the car in, it wasn't making any noise in the back. When I got the car back...there was a terrible creaking sound in the back. The suspension has been on for about 2 weeks now, and the noise now seems to be mostly coming from the right rear somewhere. The noise is fairly constant, most prominant when I go around corners or turn the car. If i go over a speed bump slowly, it won't make a peep.

This is what I've tried so far...

1) Lubricated all the areas of the e-brake cables that could rub up against something and create noise.
2) Lubricated my sway bar bushings
3) Took my new rear springs and struts off, (the BAT's come with rubber hose on the bottom coil, but nothing on the top coil)and put the stock plastic cover from the original spring onto the top coils of the rear BAT springs. Made sure everything was well lubricated, and put them back on. I did this because it seemed like the noise was coming from the strut perch area

I have no idea what else I could do or what it could possibly be. I'm starting to get somewhat frustrated, as I go back to school on saturday and won't have access to a lift down there

Any suggestions??? (sorry for the long post)

I have a new reinforced subframe in my car and I too have a creak. I can not cause the creak by pushing down on the fenders. I seem to hear it mostly on bad road surfaces. I think it is the poly sway bar bushings, they came with a grease, which I used, but if it only lasts a month or so before the squeeks come back I will try to find a 13/16" dia. bushing in regular rubber material.
What sway bar bushings do you have?

Yeah lots of people on here use marine grease to lube the bushings. They say it lasts significantly longer than standard grease. HTH

My bushings are cracked... would it be worth my while to lube them up? or should I just say to hell with it and install new ones?

I have the BAT bushings for the "21" mm bar. I know for a fact that its not the sway bar bushings now. But the noise is coming from the rear right and sounds like its up in the tower somewhere

There is an ocassional loud pop too expecially when i first get in the car

I would get new ones. But while your at it if you have te cash Id go ahead and spring for the BAT bar and it includes the bushings for like $125.
csvt99 it could be you upper strut mount. And also if it is your strut arent the Bilsteins gauranteed for life?

well...i highly doubt its the actual strut itself but i could be wrong. It could be the strut mount, but I looked at it today and it seemed fine
