thanks for the inquiry - the 95-97 contour motor does have special constraints regarding cams - the tappets are hydraulic and of a smaller diameter than the 98 up zetecs. this means you are severly limited to the amount of lift you can add to this motor. believe it or not, the intake cam is close to maxxing out the lift where there's about .040" additional lift available on the exhaust side. i can custom grind an exhaust cam to work, but due to the above mentioned limitations, it has to be a hard welded cam and will probably only net another 5hp or so.
best bet - seek out either a l98 up cyl head or motor. the difference in potential power gains is substantial.,,,,,
thats what i was told in a email regarding the purchase of cams for my car. is any/all of that information correct? if so buying new cams for my car is just a waste of money? if there are cams i can buy for my car does anyone have a link
