I know this subject has been beaten to death but I'm still confused. After reading many of the threads on batteries/optimas, etc and having people talk about rub issues, and cutting of battery terminals:

What options do I have to place a high output battery in my engine compartment that will be powerful enough to handle my stereo system(JL Audio 1000/1 and 450/4 RMS + 1 12 JL W7)?

I would really like to do a simple battery switch and not have to fabricate any special equipment or cut any terminals etc, but if I'm able to avoid putting a second battery in the trunk(it's already too heavy back there, my contour's rear is low enough with the amps and sub). I just don't want to buy one of those Odyssey batteries and realize it wont fit in my engine or is going to hit my hood or something.

Thanks so much for the help guys, I really appreciate it.

Measure your current battery and then go to the battery mfg website and get size specs to see if it will work.
