I'll make it as short n sweet as i can:
Lost power above 4500 rpm one day, but 2ndaries were opening... i checked.
Cleaned UIM/LIM with Valvoline TB and Seafoam (no Berryman's in Rockville, MD) as well as putting Redline Fuel Injector cleaner in the tank.
Car got a whole lot better, had power again, and got super nice gas mileage... then tank went empty. Re-fueled and prob came back, stuck Redline in and seems to have gotten a little better... then CEL came on.
I get some stuttering from the engine around 5000+ rpm.
Would like to get the CEL checked out but Autozone is far, trafficky as hell in DC, and the guys there are @$$holes.
Checked spark plugs, changed wires to Magnecores (8.5 Comp.)

Any idears?

*Redline MTL is oh so nice!

Sounds, to me, like intermittent IMRC failure.

The redline, and the fuel tank refills seem to be coincidence.

The IMRC is likely experiencing heatsoak (etc) and quits working, though when you did look at it, it was working.

The CEL is likely from a stuck closed IMRC, though check it at your next convienence, as it could be unrelated and important.

yeah, I'm gonna keep my eye on the IMRC and see how it goes. Any ideas on why i get slight power loss jerks from 4500K on?

fluttering IMRC (which it obviously shouldn't do), or fuel filter/fuel pump clogged.

Change the filter if you haven't done so, recently, and look at plugs/wires as well. Gap the plugs to 0.054 for the V6 (don't know what you have, since you didn't place it in your sig, or state it)

Sorry about that... '99 SVT.
I changed the fuel filter about 10 months ago. The plugs are Motorcraft plats and been in for about 6 months or so. Put on the Magnecore 8.5's yesterday.
