i dont wanna jack up the MAF's reading, i know you guys said electrical cleaner but couldnt find any at work, but i did find no residue electrical cleaner

Those are just for Advance Auto, If you want, just go into Pepboys, Advance Auto, Auto Zone, etc. and ask them for electrical contact cleaner...

I recently cleaned my maf sensor wires... they are not so fragile as someone may think. I sprayed them with electrical cleaner and brushed with a soft toothbrush, as there were some brownish deposits that would not come out with cleaner alone. I played with one maf at the junkyard just to see how sturdy it is... these are pretty tough and flexible, although I would not press too much, there is not too much worry for cleaning them. I unscrewed the safety torx and pulled the holder out.
