Nice information.

Excellent first post also.

I agree... nothing better to settle about the 4x4 Mondeo than someone actually informed about them.

And welcome to CEG weegee!

Thank you for your kind comments.

I am in the process of aquiring bits to convert my mk2 mondeo to 4x4/awd (they never made a mk2 4x4).

So as part of my research process i bought this - which has lots of useful info.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=18414&item=7990737307

So if anyone wants to know more about the 4x4 setup as used by ford for the mondeo plz ask - and i'll have a look in the book and see if i can help

Regards

WeeGee

And someone is forgetting that the Escape is a 4WD. Its probably not going to give the performance we think of for AWD without some serious tweaks. Say goodbye to the MTX also as the V6 4X is a CD4E ( ) vehicle. Want a stick? Enjoy rowing those gears, those four heavy tires, the driveshaft, and all the assorted extra weight with a Zetec.

that was making fun of the fact that with shitvics you can put a crv chassi and drivetrain with modification
