Hi everyone, I've been a member, that mostly lurks on the boards, since 2001 and had a 2000 V6 Contour SE that was lightly modified with a SVT body kit, 17" Enkei's, KKM intake, SHO y-pipe, custom dual exhaust, and several other appearance mods. I finally got done with school and now that I own my own restaurant, was able to afford a new car. The Contour is still a GREAT car, even with over 100,000 miles, and since I knew I wouldn't get a trade in value that was worth the time and effort I spent on the car, I just gave my car to my younger sister (who loves it!) and it is still going strong.
My new car is a 2005 Subaru Impreza WRX STi that I've had only a month and now has an APS CAI, APS Turbo-Back Exhaust, a Walbro 255 lph fuel pump, a custom ECUTek Tune via MZM Performance based in Austin, Texas, 19" Enkei RPF1's, and Eibach springs. The car was dynoed on a Mustang dyno and stock '05 STi's put down around 190 whp and 190 wtq (again, this is a mustang dyno, not the dynojet). After the install of the CAI, exhaust, and fuel pump, the STi put down max power of 210.6 whp @ 6000 RPM and 217.3 wtq @ 4000 RPM. They then did the custom flash and did two runs with ECUTek tuning and afterwards the STi put down max power of 239.4 whp @ 5500 RPM and max torque of 261 wtq @ 3750 RPM. The car now pulls very hard, and sounds very nice (has a nice deep growl to it).
I would have never thought I would have gone with a JDM car, but I now love the STi, especially the AWD, although the Contour still has a special place in my heart. Here are some pics of the new car.
