Seems like AEP hung our powerlines a little low

Actually they broke, and it happened a while ago, I just finally uploaded the pics.

They landed where I often park my car, but I happend to not park it there that day. Glad I didn't.
It was surprising to come home from church and find powerlines lying in the parking lot though.

Yeah I would have been mad if it had landed on my car. Granted my car isn't worth all that much but those are heavy cables and would have done some damage.

That was close, how lucky can you get.
I noticed that truck in the back says Millersburg, Ohio, you shoulda came up to the Ohio meet a few weeks ago. But well it woulda been a 2+ hour drive for you tho, it was about a 1+ hour drive for me. Maybe the next meet. You goin to the big Michigan meet on Sept. 3rd?
Also your only like an hour away from me too, just under 40 miles.

Downed power lines are no fun!!

How long before the wonderful electric company fixed the problem?

We reported the lines down around 1 or 2 in the afternoon, and they didn't have them fixed ti'll like midnight that night. But the lines go accross a really wide steep ravine. Totally grown over with thorns and trees.

It wasn't too bad though, compared to the 8 days we were out in the big ice storm last december.

September is gonna be sorta busy for me, cuz I'm leaving for south carolina for two years in september. But I didn't realize that there was anyone very close to where I lived. Under 40 miles is close.
It'd be fun to go to a meet, or do stuff with other CEG'rs, but I don't really have any cool mods to show anyone, or any engine swap or drag racing experience. I guess you gotta start somewhere.
