too bad i didnt have more cash available to me when i crashed the old corolla, or else i would have bought one of those 1000km/tank cars. I wish the govt would step in and reduce taxes on the gas or something. If this keeps up the way it has Im gonna move into the town where work is. Driving 130kms a day is not cheap.
oh and try the new sour apple crush! its the bomb!

I think I will have to change my driving habits, I used a 1/4 tank of gas going from one side of Burlington to the other
Friday night I paid a $1.13 per litre for 91 octane

Aaron, I'm just plain lucky, cause I sure wasn't taking it easy on either ride. Found out one thing about my rides, the SRT-4 is taking over the number one spot from the SVT, and this is even before the big power mod gets installed.
LOL Chris if the SVT is losing the number one spot you might just have to take that Vortech kit off and sell it to me:D or the whole engine and S/C

All diesels will run on new or used vegetable oil. There are kits available to convert all diesels to run on vegitable oil. Essentially it's a heather system to make the vegetable oil more viscous. The used oil will have to be refined to make it work.
I can pour clean vegatable oil into my TDI Jetta in the summer and drive it without any problems.
Hopefully after Jan. 2006 VW will finally bring over the 110hp and the 130hp TDIs. My 2000 Jetta TDI was only availabe with the 90hp engine. Even though it's only rated at 90hp, it's just as fast as the same sized gasoline engined car.

I always fill up after 9:30pm or so. It's significantly cheaper. For example if it was 102 during the day it'll be around 94 or so at night. It's still crazy since a few weeks ago I wouldn't concider filling at 94. About the SMART car, I agree the engine is not fuel efficient compared to its size and power. But unless the government gets some balls and puts pressure for cleaner diesel, we're not getting the good european diesel engines

For you SVT drivers, premium is 3 cents a litre cheaper than normal on Thursday nights at Ultramar stations. On a 50 litre tank it saves you a whole $1.50, but every little bit helps......
