Hey guys, I'm having my subframe reinforced and my mechanic showed me that my sway bar is actually rubbing the sub frame. He mentioned that it is probably because the bar is bigger than stock, but I've never heard of the Aussie bars doing this and they are way bigger right? The area of abrasion is about 10 inches away from the sway bar bushing towards the inside of the car. I'm thinking maybe its just because the stock brackets are twisted up so bad that the bar is sitting closer to the subframe then its supposed to?

I'm in the shop right now, but I'll post the pics when I get home. Has anyone had this issue before?

I'd put new bushings and brackets and see how that works out.

For anyone that may search this thread, the bar was fine and had plenty of clearance after i reinforced the subframe. The brackets were pretty bent up, placing the bar too close to the frame
