I have been seeing alot of stuff about the 3.0 conversion, can someone explain to me how this is done? Do you use your existing 2.5 block or what? Also can someone tell me where I can get the parts? Any help would be deeply apprieciated laugh

It's a modified 3.0 Duratec block from the Taurus. You need to fill some oil and water passages I believe, you should do a "search" to find out more.

Then that would mean I need a different block? Thanks I will do a search to see if I can find a little more.

There was a recent article in some magazine (MM&FF?) with detailed information on the 3.0 conversion. I am trying to find it myself since my son's 98 SVT Contour just chunked a rod last week. Anybody have a lead on a replacement motor?
