Has anyone checked out the 3.0 X-Type manifolds? Are they a bolt on replacement for the 2.5 Contour? What about the Y-pipe?

And if the X-type manifolds and Y-pipe are not a simple bolt in replacement, is it possible that someone could make a custom Y-pipe that would fit the 3.0 X-type manifolds to the SVT Contour exhaust? Or maybe just build an Engnine-back exhaust starting witht the 3.0 X-Type manifolds?

I ask these questions assuming that the 3.0 Xtype manifolds and Y-pipe are larger diameter than the SVT. And, that the X-type manifolds have the pre-cats and would work with the SVT emissions setup. Anybody know if my assumptions are correct?

Thanks,

Tim

Y-pipe will not work as the X engine is longitudinal not transverse. Manifolds, possible but unlikely without modification. worth looking at though.

Dan, I beleive you are mixing up the x-type and the S-type, the s-type is a north/south drivetrain, and X-type is East/west

As to the fit of the Jaguar parts. It is very possible some of the parts will fit, but they are currently extremely rare or not even available just yet, so it may be a little while before someone can confirm whether or not they will fit as a bolt-on affair.

It's all about balance.
