was looking into changing LED's starting with just the locks/windows but im stuck ive searched the forums and nothing has really helped right now im just stuck with this:



and cant get it open am i missing something? not that it matter because im sure ill encounter more problems when i get it open, but any help/advice ill take, thanks in advance

It's very simple to take them apart.

They are held on with 4 tiny clips, two on each side. Use a very tiny flat head to release the clips a little at a time.

Once it's open, be very careful. There is metal pieces inside that make the switch work when you push the button. They sit loosely when there is no cover on the switch.

Good luck. This is a very time consuming job and requires alot of patience but the end result is beautiful.

I used some screwdrives that i bought a few years ago when i needed to fix the house ac controls (the tool heads are a few millimeters wide, some only 1) and it was easy to remove the cap. If you're using a blue, red, or amber led you probably wont have to replace the resistor inside, other colors draw need less power and can get damaged with the stock resistor.

i would change the resistor to be safe
