hey CEGers. Ive been an enthusiast and a contour.org viewer for two years now. Finally, after 5 years of customizing other cars I have purchased my very own svt and can call myself a member. Please be patient with my questions, as i have plenty to ask, and i hope i can be of help some as well. I love my new ride and plan on being around with "Connie" for awhile.
First question...the plaque on my engine bay in front of the radiator is missing. how do i find out my build number and build date using my VIN number?

I don't believe that plaque comes with your car. I don't have one either. There is a thread in the Group Buy forum on how to get one made.

Sorry, it looks like the Group Buy is over for now. They come around every so often. You may need to wait til next year to get one. Enjoy the forums!

I don't have an SVT, but this info. is on here all the time. I believe you take your VIN # and call SVT.
I found this with a 2 minute search: Call SVT
The number is: 1-800-FORD-SVT (367-3788). I believe you can get a certificate as well, but there is probably a charge.
Welcome and good luck !

There is no charge for the certificate. You call the number (posted above) with your VIN and they will tell you the build date/production number right on the phone. If you want the certificate they will ask you to fax them your registration. In turn you get the cert. with all the info on it.
Welcome to the CEG!
