Not sure where to post since i assume all HVAC controls are the same on all models...

Heres the problem, nothing on the HVAC works when its on the Low, mid low, mid high section, but if its on the High Section, it blows out air, anything else and its like its off..

that make sense? so it only works when on High, and doesnt work on anything else. No matter what selection (vent a/c defrost)

Any ideas on whats wrong? a buddy mentioned it might be a resistor but i dont know this stuff well enough. Could i just get a replacement HVAC unit? or will that not fix anything?

Thanks for your input

What year and mileage? It might be covered under an Extended Customer Service Warranty. Some models have an extended warranty of 10 years/150k miles. Mine is a 96 and it is covered.

Amd this might give you an idea of what is involved?

The fan switch is bad, most likely, it was on both Mystiques we have. Resistor is easier to swap, either part is a possible cause, not costly though.

The same problem I had a few months back, then relaced my resistor pack and now I enjoy the clod air that blows through my vents again.
