Not sure where to post since i assume all HVAC controls are the same on all models...
Heres the problem, nothing on the HVAC works when its on the Low, mid low, mid high section, but if its on the High Section, it blows out air, anything else and its like its off..
that make sense? so it only works when on High, and doesnt work on anything else. No matter what selection (vent a/c defrost)
Any ideas on whats wrong? a buddy mentioned it might be a resistor but i dont know this stuff well enough. Could i just get a replacement HVAC unit? or will that not fix anything?

man, must have missed the Troubleshooting section, sorry
ok, its a 99 SE sport with the duratec and auto tranny, mileage is about 91xxx
ok, ill look into those autozone things, thanks!

except i just had it at ford last week and they said there was no open recalls out of the vechicle
so i assumed they all expired in the last 6 years

The fan switch is bad, most likely, it was on both Mystiques we have. Resistor is easier to swap, either part is a possible cause, not costly though.

The same problem I had a few months back, then relaced my resistor pack and now I enjoy the clod air that blows through my vents again.
