Had my struts checked yesterday as I know they are worn out due to the handleing of the car. The place came back with a quote of 800.00 big ones!! OUCH!! Didn't realize these are so expesive. Going to call around for other estimates as not able to do these myself but wondering any ideas anyone might have to make this repair cheaper. Any place I could check to just get the struts and have someone put them on? These guys wanted over 200.00 a strut which seems a tad high but maybe thats what the really are. Just thought I would through this out here for any ideas or advice anyone would have on this expenive repair. Thanks so much.

Sounds about right. Struts are probably going to cost them around $400 - $500. The rest is labor.
