Hello Gang,
I just had major repair done on my 96 Mystique MTX Zetec GS.
CV halfsafts, Bearings, Rotors, Calipers, Pads, Rear Pads, Rear Shocks. One front Hub also.
Car is like new except for braking at over 40 MPH. Major Vibration in the front. New Cheapo Rotors with Raybestos PG Ceramic pads. I did tell the garage not to put cheap rotors with theses pads.
Anyways, I don't feel like going there anymore. I want to solve this problem!
Any Suggestions?
Thanks,
Intravino

Two things that come to mind. Rotors not turned properly and lug nuts not tightened correctly.

No matter how new the rotors, they are usually not exactly true (flat). As such, they must be turned (cut) to make it as flat as possible.

Get higher quality rotors, and torque front wheels properly, i.e. don't overtighten.

Remember to tighten your lug nuts in a cross pattern.
The nut cases at Discount tire put it on in a circular pattern and the car was about to shake apart. I took them off and retightened correctly...Nice and smooth.

Hey Guys,
Replaced my Rotors, called Chris at SP Motorsports and got the Eurotor. Changed my Pads to Raybestos Ceramic QS.
Ajusted my wheel nut to 62 lbs.
AND.....
Still some vibration when braking between 45 and 30 MPH. When start braking at 65 mph no vibration and then the Speedometer goes down ...still no vibration.....when it arrives at 45 MPH it shakes until below 30 mph.
I know that my front Shock is starting to go.
I need some input.

check out the lower control arm bushings, bet they are shot and that will cause front end vibration
also many people torque their lug nuts to 90 ft-lbs, as it was revised by Ford

Try getting an alignment done, if you haven't already.
