Yeah, its open. We just had a charity race out there like Kingpin said. Its not for cancer, but for various childrens charities in Colorado. Had some big name AMA guys, like Eric Bostrom, Ben Bostrom and Jason DiSalvo, out there riding with us in the fastest group. The entire track, pits, garages and paddock are all open. The main drive, clubhouse and landscaping are not.
The track is world class. Its still a bit green, and the grip isnt all there yet, but it will come. We didnt get to tun the full configuration (it can be run 4 different ways), but the two halves seperately, so that multiple groups could be on the track at the same time. Once the surface comes in a bit more, it will be phenominal. Its plenty wide, and has a good variety. The West track is very difficult, and quite technical. The east track is very fast and requires confidence, ( the full track runs both the east and west together). To give you an idea about the east track, the top speed is only about 130 mph, but the average speed is about 110, so you are moving mid corner. The west track has alot of decreasing radius corners, and one tricky triple apex. Neither have alot of elevation change, but there is a little on the east course.
So, with a wide track, a good variety of turns, a 3550' front straight, and gp outfitted garages right on the hot pit, I'd say the track was designed with GP and F1 in mind.
