I know of two front manufactures of front Strut bars. They are OMP and SHO SHOP. Which one is better? Do both require drilling? Plus could some beginner like me install it if it needs drilling? Also, where can I get one for the rear. THis is for a 1998.5 SE ATX. IS it really better to have the front drilled to have better performance? ANy help will be appreciated. Thanks

Nothing here yet, just got my 1998.5 Black SE ATX

I have the SHO shop strut bars (Front and Back).
Front go on easy, there's no driiling since they mount on the top of the struts themselves.
Back go on just as easy but require you cutting the carpet near the top of the strut towers to fit the brackets through. They mount the the strut towers with 4 sheet metal screws...also very easy to install.
Make sure you order the adjustable braces, I've been told that they also come in non adjustable, but I done like fitting anything with a sledge hammer.
I think the OMP front struts mount to the sheet metal with screws ....so I've been told.
All in all, I felt a big difference in the handling, especially on the track!
Hope that helps.
