After much debate (with myself) and after reading the pros and cons on this subject, I had it replaced with straight pipe last week for $30. At first I wasn't sure if I should have done it, but now, I'm glad I did.

It sounds great (especially after it's warmed up) and the drone is not as bad as some say it is. At highway speeds, it's virtually non-existent.

For those of you with the Duratec/SVT motor, it's worth the (little) money to try it out--if you don't like it, replace it with another resonator, cat-back or custom exhaust system.

Horsepower increase? Who knows or cares--it sounds good!

I had mine cut out last week right after I had my SHOshop y-pipe installed and WOW was it crappy! I ran back to get a 24" glasspack installed to tame the rasp. On my stock SE exhaust, I liked the no-res setup, but not on my SVT exhaust. Bear in mind my other exhaust mods though..
