I'm pulling the engine and need some advice. My Haynes manual shows dropping the engine down. Can I pull it up. It seems like it would be easier that way. It will be hard to get the car high enough to get it out after it's lowered.

Thanks, searched the wrong forum. BTW I downloaded the FORD manual and it says to drop it down but I like out the top better. Does anybody have the instructions for out the top? Do I leave the subframe intact? Any alignment issues

Remove radiator and fans, unblt the a/c comp and zip tie it out of the way, unhook everything else, grab a cherry picker and start cranking. A friend is nice to help with look out so not to catch seomthing. I've done it alone though. Just go slow.
