Alright, I just want to start of saying that my CSVT has been flawless for the 20k miles I have driven it for. Nothing major has gone wrong (knock on wood).
However, this past summer a couple of problems have arisen and though I have searched I cannot find any posts that explain my situation, so here goes.
The first problem is that below 3k rpms, the car jerks horribly now. I realize at lowww rpms this is normal for a 5spd, but this is not the normal shaking/jerking, it occurs all the way up to around 3k and is REALLY annoying.
The second is that when I shift at anywhere between 3400 - 3600 rpm (yes, that EXACT range) I get a weird pinging/whistling noise. It sounds like I might have a vacuum leak (?) somewhere? I have no idea and this is kind of hard to explain, just hoping maybe someone had the same situation happen to them and know how to remedy it. Thanks for any help.
If I didn't describe something in enough detail to diagnose it I'd be happy to upon request. THANKS!!!

The jerking happens to everybody... It happens when you are trying to accelerate in a high gear with low rpms. There is nothing that you can do to fix that. The other problem, however, i have not heard of.

All in all... a fat car

Well like I said, I'm used to it in low rpms (around 2000k and below), but it has never been doing this in the 2500-3000k range, this is new to me.

Misfiring, at about 40mph in 4th 2300 rpm, my sister's Mystique did that, surging sensation. A sparkplug had a carbon track which made the sparks go outside the plug. Maybe you just have a loose wire or need new plugs/wires. Autolite double plats (not sure what SVT needs).

Damn, I just replaced the plugs about 5k miles ago, so maybe I did something wrong with the gaps/installation? Regardless I guess I'll be doin a little work on the engine tomorrow.

Check your firing order, although you would have noticed the odd sound of the engine sooner, I think.

Thanks for the help, I'll recheck everything that I put together once I was done cleaning the manifolds, but it's just weird that the problem would arise just now and not about 6 months ago, oh well. And yes, I gapped the wires myself and didn't use pre-gapped ones. Also, have no CELs.
