Did the Ford factory upgrade on the dash; 2000 SE; Ford kit includes a cheap looking crimp-on dash edge that looks bad, and it fit so poorly to the dash edge, and so tightly against the windshield that my original dash warped with the fix kit, and Ford gave me a brand new dash.
I would recommend using the 98 vent cover, color keyed to your interior, I had a 98 LX, and its dash vent looked better--besides, it was either sturdy plastic or metal. Ford took the cheap route after that.
