Hello all, don't know if any of you remember me from a few years back, ( a few of your screen names look familure to me), anyway, I used to own a 96 SE and was doing a SVT engine swap....by myself I might add with ZERO experience of replacing an engine, lol. So why did I try your probably thinking, well, it was really for the experience of it and I just want to see if I could do it. So I bought an SVT engine, had my trans rebuilt by Terry, Quaife, clutch etc etc...everything was looking great, but I had a VERY strange electrical problem once I had everything back together. I had 4 mechnics come out to my house and look at it with all of them giving up after 2,3,4 hours trying to figure it out. I ended up getting rid of the car after so many failed attemps. It was fun though.....check out pic's;
So after spending about 2 weeks swapping it all, aand about another 2 trying to get it to run, I gave up, sent it to a junk yard (after yanking engine/trans and selling them).
Now I ride in this....02 VW Passat, K04 Turbo upgrade, TT Cat-back, GIAG software w/tip chip, 19" DPE R06 (19x8 front, 19x10 rear), Turbosmart BOV, Samco hoses, Neuspeed sport springs/bilstein adj shocks.....
