It's a '98 SE, 4 cyl, and it studders during acceleration either at stoplights or when getting up to highway speed.
Once it is cruising it seems to be fine.

However, it idles a little roughly by dropping to 500rpm temporarily before going back up to 750/800 rpm.

I'm not sure if this is related but about 2 months ago, I was driving on the highway and it completely stalled. Luckily I was able to restart it in neutral before pulling off.

Since that time, I've replaced the spark plugs, air filters, added cleansers in the gas, and filled it with oil.
However, it still idles rough and stutters/hesitates during acceleration.

Any suggestions/help for this new guy?

Any CELs, and how many miles and I'm assuming it's a MTX?
Sounds to me like there is something wrong with idling, mabye a sensor gone bad, if you get a CEL take it to autozone they'll read it for free. If they pull up the code watch for what the code is and do not listen to them when they tell you what they think it is (I learned from that one). Good luck and welcome to CEG.
Also if you get a CEL and get it read, post the code up on here.

I'm not sure what those initials mean as I'm not entirely car-savvy. However, it has 145,000km.

CEL Check Engine Light (Yellow on the dash board, comes on for a few seconds when you turn on the ignition, if it stays on then you have a CEL code. Sometimes you could have CEL code without the light)

MTX manual transmission

ATX Automatic
