I finally got my Y-pipe after 2 months of waiting. But all I got was 4 pieces, 3 u-bolts, and a gasket. No instructions, No packing list, No anything of help on putting this thing together or anything like that. Has anyone installed this thing themselves? If any of you have could please email me a how-to? I have the resources to get it done but I just don't have the know how yet. I really hate how sho shop operates but oh well that another story. Thanks for any help.

Well OJ, I'm going to type this directly off the instructions I recieved with mine.

Step 1- Using wd-40 or equivalent spray all bolts attaching factory y-pipe. Let sit for approx. 30 minutes. Undo bolts at each header and back at the catback flange. Remove the factory y-pipe.

Step 2- Install front long and short elbow pipes. Loosely attach them to the exhaust manifolds. Slide pipes into catalytic converter or bypass pipe. Thread in 02sensor and plug it in.

Step 3- Slide flex pipe at the back of catalytic converter or bypass pipe. Attach flange part of the flex pipe to the catback, do not forget the gasket.

Step 4- Place muffler clamps on the front and rear of the converter or bypass pipe. Make sure that the assembly is straight and does not hang down, tighten down clamps and front and rear bolts at the exhaust manifolds.

Step 5- Start car and verify that there are no exhaust leaks. If you find some leaks, make sure that the flange is straight and evenly tightened. Orange RTV high temp silicone can also be used to sealthe leaks.

Step 6- If you are replacing your convertor make sure to fill out replacement form for proper warranty registration.

Step 7- Happy Hunting! laugh

that looks exactly like the instuctions that i got with my y-pipe.

definitely use wd-40..it will make you life easier. it took me about a hour to do it. the hardest part (aside from working under the car) is getting the pipes to line up while working on your back. not that hard just takes a steady hand.

-- i forgot one thing..
Try not to destroy the nuts/bolts from the pipe that is closest to the cat (the 180 degree bend pipe) I had to resuse those bolts because they did not send me any. long bolts go to the front pipe and short bolts go to the cat-back to flex pipe.
