ok guys and gals this is what i have i have a battery drain somwhere in my electrical system (i think).

this has been happening for a while now just havn't got around to fixing it till now. i have since moved my battery to the trunk with a kill switch on the terminals. cause i was getting tired of opening my hood, i would rather open my truck.

i can let my car sit for maybe 3-4 hours and it will fire up slowly but it will fire up. it i leave it over night i have a totaly drained battery not even a clock. i have two 2gauge wires running from the front to the battery and i have a two guage grounding the battery drilled to the frame. i hope some other people have had this problem before cause the whole electical thing is very tedias. i have went through all my fuses with a test testlight and all clear there i think unless someone knows another way of checking them. when i unhook the battery when i am done driving it and then hook it back up when i want to start it up if fires up nicely. any input would be great here thanks for you time people.

Shay, When my car did that, I would be able to jump it to get it started. I did this for a couple days until finally it just wouldnt start. It turned out to be my alternator... Are you having any crazy issues with electrical in the car... speedo jumps, anything like that? My only guess would be, having the alt tested.

BTW, I thought you were selling the SVT over seas?

yeah well that whole thing didn;t work out the funds that he said he had, he really didn;t have (scam). so yeah i'm kinda pi**ed about selling my hood now but hey atleast it went to a ceg'er.
that is what i was told maybe an altenater but for some reason i don;t think it is cause nothing is wrong with the car when it is running and it only goes dead after like 4 hours of just sitting.
so idk thanks for the info

The alternator could have a shorted diode, that is rare. You could test how much current is flowing with the car off with an ammeter, then disconnect fuses one at a time (make a chart of which goes where first if you don't have one), until the draw stops. A good place to start is with aftermarket accessories like stereo, alarm, and the dome lights in the ceiling that can be on independently.
