I need to hear from all the SVT TourHeads out there. Below is a description of a clutch for sale. Anyone have any experience with this system? Currently I have a stock 2000 SVT Contour and I am getting readt to add a new Pin Drive Vortech Supercharger.
What do you think? Asking price ~$110.
Peace,

SPEC Performance Stage Three Clutch Kits

4-puck carbon/ceramic friction material disc.

Sharp but smooth engagement with light pedal.

ULTIMATE STREET/STRIP CLUTCH!

This clutch was used for 3000-4500 miles, but was swapped because the tranny was rebuilt for an upgraded limited slip diff and other components. Just barely broken in.

Ideal for the enthusiast who wants major power in a daily driver.

This clutch can be resurfaced by Spec for a fraction of the cost of a new clutch in order to have a brand new surface. No release bearing/slave cylinder assembly included.

Basically you are paying $110 for a used SPEC pressure plate. It may need resurfacing.

They specifically mention "you can get the disc resurfaced" meaning it probably has damage to it.

No T/O bearing included.

With your power level I'd go with a Stage 1 anyway. It doesn't bat an eyelash at my engine so it can definitely hold any supercharged engine. (oh yeah - free shot )
It holds the venom kit just fine as well and that makes far more torque then either a 3L or S/C car.

Yea I have read tons of older posts, praising the Stage 1. As I get further along with my 3L swap, I'll def. be picking one up.

You read wrong. The stage 3 does not appear to be wearing any faster than a regular disc...at least not at this point.
