I'm getting a new steering rack, probably going to get this one from here:http://steeringrack.com/product_info.php/cPath/1/products_id/3984

I was on some other sites, and noticed it asked if I had 14 or 15 inch wheels.

I have 1998 SE, MTX V6, so 15" wheels.

As far as I know the steering rack is the same for all years of contours, regardless of rim size for all models.

Anyone know if this is correct?

What manuals can I get to check, haynes or chilton good for repairing?

The racks should be the same. It's the tierods that are different. Although, I can see no visible difference, they have different part #'s. Usually a replacement rack will come complete with tie rods and ends so that's probably why the racks are listed with different #'s.

I beleive I read here on the site that the only difference is between SVT and non-SVT. that being the SVT doesn't have a stop in it or the other way around, I forget exactly what it was I read though, hopefully someone can chime in on it
