I went to the dealership and looked at the 98 mustang 4.6 and the T/B looks pretty much the same now ceg people say it can be fitted to match i got a printout from the dealer and it shows 2 inlet holes in it and the pic of the dohc 4.6 shows different parts man said it might just be a bad pic but before i do this is there any certian year and exact one i need like sohc or dohc thanks alot

ok your reply shows the ford motorsports makes a 70 mm if i can get this for my 2.5 then why the need to make a 4.6 work if i can get a 70 or is this svt only thanks again

The factory 4.6 65mm TB is just a cheaper way to go. The 65mm TB has proven to be to much for anything other than a highly modified SE or SVT, 70mm is just worse yet on anything but a 3 oh or a very heavy modded 2.5.

Don't even think about upgrading the tb if you are still running the stock exhaust manifolds.

Don't bother upgrading the TB if you are runnging the stock intake. MAF, Filter, Rubber accordian hose...

All are bigger restrictions then the stock 60mm unit!!!

Plus expect to have to modify & tune it. Not a BOLT-ON!
