Probably $2-3000, So you'll need about $7-9000 to get a decent one from a private party, $9-11000 from a (St)/(D)ealer...

By the time you get one, most likely it would be modded to hell! I for one donot know of or seen any CSVT's that doesn't at least have a nice set of rims on it. I would have to agree on the value of the car being 9-11K within a couple of years, but hopefully by then, alot of new cars such as Lancer EVO's would have hit the neighborhood and will curve your interest in buying an SVT.

au contraire. around here, i rarely see SVT's, but if i do, they're ALL bone stock. back when i had mine, all i had on it was a borla exhaust and a few other little things, but nobody else around here even goes that far.
but, in two years.....i do think it'll be hard to find a decent one. most of them are already getting on up in mileage (early ones, anyway).
in two years - i'd imagine that a high-mileage E0 would go for about $5k and a low-mileage pristine '00 might go for $12k.

Some will say 3k for a 00 with 500 miles! There called reamers/dreamers or they are from Alabama. Truth is a car is worth what someoe is willing to pay. Check your area and hit the autotrader youll see how much they go for from private as well as dealers in various areas of the country. Oh ya and just in case a 30K ancer peakes your intrest, you should be ok. As the 10-16K you may spend on a tour should only take a minimal hit in a private sale a year doen the road, trade is another story.

The problem is that the SVT you will likely want to buy will be in good condition, meaning the owner was somewhat of an enthusiast, making it less likely that they will want to sell (at market value anyway).
I don't want to sound too discouraging, but you'll probably be hard pressed to find a nice relatively stock one, not in need of a lot of $TLC$.
But good luck! I know what it's like to set a goal and make it happen - that's how I ended up with my SVT. When I could finally afford to own a car, I put my name on a waiting list at the local SVT dealer and got a call 6 months later when one came in off of lease. I had to run in and out-bid 4 other buyers.

Nill! I would equate it to the Tarus SHO, a classic but not a classic! Unless SVT never builds another four door then you could add $500.00 to whatever else its worth! My guess!
