Hi - With 85,000 miles on the 'tour I'm going to give the upper/lower intake manifold cleaning and re-gasketing a shot later this week. When you pull the fuel rail and injectors out, is it possible to clean the injectors then? Or can injectors only be cleaned from the inside out (through the gas line) ?? I'm trying to get rid of the misfiring I get the first couple minutes I drive the car each day... Thanks...

You can soak the points in a little cleaner as well, just take care not to damage or mar the end.

It won't hurt to try, but you probably won't get any cleaning without running a cleaner through the injectors. I like Techron and Red Line.

the ends are rather hard to clean unless you are forcing the redline, etc, through it. I agree.

Sounds like mine. I found a broken elbow for the PCV intake on the cam cover. It was feeding unmetered air into the intake. Too bad Detroit can design/use higher quality materials for gaskets/seals/rubber parts.
