Hi, I've owned three contours since 1996, and think it's a great car. I now own the 2.5L V6 SE (1999) and would like to mod it a little. I was looking at a CAI from K&N and a Borla cat back exhaust. I wouldn't be able to do it myself, but thought I'd get some input.
Again, I've been a contour owner since 1996, and it's nice to find this site...9 years later. hah

the k&n unit is kinda pricey,to say the least..you can get better values elsewere...try customcougars.com for the intake, and trubendz.com for the exhaust system..btw,welcome,and better now than never..

It's funny to think I've owned a Contour since the Internet was "new." I'm really excited to have found this site, and I'll use the search option on the forums to make sure I don't ask a question that has been raised 302 times before.
Thanks again for the warm welcome!

Look at my times and checkout my engine bay pics.
Just a K&N filter. Honest.
Mods are not addicting.

I'm in Plainview, but I go to Amarillo all the time, the folks are up there. The only mods I'd prolly do are a CAI, cat-back exhaust. I still don't know enough about mods, but I think a Y-pipe and headers aren't street legal, so I wouldn't do that. So I'd stick with the two mods of CAI & exhaust. I'm saving up for a monster sports car, so I've got a year or two to enjoy my current SE Sport.
