you knocked your car out of alignment, i doubt anything is snapped or else you would know it. take the car in for an alignment and they will be able to tell you right away what you bent or messed up.

Sounds like you took a hefty whack ... check your control arms too. This happened to me before and when we pulled the arm off it the hole was elongated from circular to oval ... while on the car the arm didn't look too bad, and would probably have passed a 'casual' inspection.

I presume you're in the UK (from pounds reference ) I think the last time I got an alignment I got it done for about 25 quid. Depends though on who you know, and where you are, and if they are a decent outfit.

If the alignment doesn't sort it then there is a bigger problem. Try the alignment first, especially if you can get a good price on it.
If after alignment it still becomes un-aligned, then look into other problems.
Check your tyres too, what caused you have bodywork done? Did you lock up, hit a wall (like I did ) or someone hit you. Basically, the higher speed imapct, and the more it's localised towards the wheel area means the greater chance that something like a LCA might be bent. If you hit a curb, for instance, then it's probably just alignment.
Get it done right away though, saves on additional wear for one, and safety aspects too.
