Well I was haveing a problem with the OD light blinking on and off so I searched and people recomended to replace the TSS sensor. So I went to the local stealership and picked one up. Went home jacked up the car removed the front wheel, unblonted the sensor and tried to remove it but it was seized in there. So I grab a pair of pliers and pull on the sensor with the pliers. After about 5 min off pulling and yanking it finaly came out but in two peices. Now I have the front of the sensor in my hand and the magnet still stuck in the tranny. Does anyone have any ideas how I can get that peice out with out having to take the tranny apart?? Any suggestions are appreciated.
Thanks, Pete

Did it fix the abrupt 1-2 shift? I am about to get a TSS and assorted minor cosmetic parts for my 98 Mystique.

Ok got the old TSS sensor out and the new one in. Drove the car for about 10 miles and it ran fine but when I turned on my road bam the od light started flashing again. Do you think changing the fluid would cure my problem. The car has 93000 miles on it.
Thanks, Pete

a flashing OD light indicates (usually) slippage of some kind, most likely the torque converter.. Unfortunately, a fluid change will most likely not fix your light. (if it is rooted at slipping)... IF it HAPPENS to be something else, a fluid change couldn't hurt.

The car shifts and drives like it did on day one. No slipping what so ever. No this is what boggles my mind. If i hold in the od button it runs find and the od light doesnt come on. So what i did was taped the button so it would always be depressed and no flashing light yet. Im going to try the fluid change and see it that helps. What do you think about changing the VSS sensor?
Thanks, Pete

If the VSS is bad, you should have the speedometer moving erratically (?). And also random downshifts. It probably is not the VSS. You might want to scan for any intermittent codes.
