As usual, you're just a little bit different...

Your car is a little bit different, (ie, the way it works and gets handled). Must say, coolest Zetec ever though...

I drive it hard to say the least!

All the time, very hard on brakes. I had a 00 Grand Voyager and in 20,000km of ownership, I replaced the brakes twice. Same with my Eagle, I bought the car @ 233k and now at 292k and replaced them 3x...

I baby my brakes. When slowing down,I use both downshifting and braking together to bring me to a stop. I would also rather do a brake job than replace my tranny, but I've already done both on my car in the last 2 months,so collectively,I've spent $950 on my tranny and around $700 on brakes.Rear oem rotors and shoes, front oem pads, and in the next 3 weeks will be picking up SVT calipers and KVR pads for $200 and slotted 278mm rotors with cadmium plating for $360 with shipping and taxes.

I only slam on my brakes if I'm about to hit something and die....which isn't very often. I find my 4 wheel disc setup on my Tour is much more effective than the disc/drums on my Mystique, but I still feel like I'm lacking braking power,so the SVT upgrade should make a difference.

The SVT upgrade will really only help you on hard and/or fast stops. I find coming down from 75mph of the highway is a lot smoother then with the stock SE brakes. It's a worthy upgrade though... I'm glad I did it.

I shouldn't have to slam on them when I get my new titaniramics from Stazi... next year that is...
