Walked into work today and heard those wonderful three words "your layed off". But I will tell you what. This works out very nicely. I have applied for a student loan and would not have been able to work this shift and go to school anyway. the shift was 3:30pm till 3:00am Mon. thru Thur. I can draw unemployment for awhile if I have to plus my lady is cool with the whole thing and very supportive about the change so its all good.

Aww...lucky. I have "asked" my boss to lay me off, but no, there's just too much work. Enjoy that unemployment!

877-644-6562 to file for unemployment over the phone, or unemployment.ohio.gov if you want to apply online. If you have any questions about unemployment let me know, I work at the processing center in Columbus. Enjoy your time off.

Been there. But I knew 7 weeks in advance and I got several thousand dollars when I left. Unemployment was 'cool' for a couple of months, then it got old in a hurry. But it allowed me some time to relax and think about where I wanted to go with my career. If you can financially, I would just take a couple weeks to relax and chill, but it's never too early to start the job search again.

I've been layed off for 3 months now since the company I worked at decided to close. I'm 1 of over 600 people that got the knock off. We actually made the 2.5L front engine covers and cam covers for our contours (and parts for many other cars as well)
