How do you get into auto-x'ing?

I've been tempted for sometime since the SVT isn't much for the 1/4 mile but handles like a champ.

You sign up and show up with your car pretty much empty. Pump up your tires about 5-10 pounds higher than street (use chalk to make sure you are not rolling them over) then go out and have fun.

If the one this saturday is close enough sign up today for it and get there early. Look for my red miata with the tires hanging behind it. If you dont sign up it looks like you can still run no problem just show up early.

if that one is to far how about atco raceway on the 23rd? I'll be there also.

You just do it! Shawn helped me out at my first auto-x, and it was great. Just show up and race, really! All you NEED to bring is your car in good shape, entry fee ($15-$35), and driver's licence. You have nothing to lose but a Saturday or Sunday you'd have wasted anyway.

Make sure the trunk is empty. They make you empty it in Englishtown.

This definitely sounds fun.

Ill have to start coming to some area events and checking it out/racing. Unfortunately this weekend and the 23rd have been booked.
