a/c clutch was making lotz of noise, replaced clutch assembly because only 6 ball bearings were left, but didn't replace magnet assembly. now after car warms up a little there's the infamous rotational metal scratching noise and oh boy does it get loud when i tried the air..everything was in spec so i figure the magnet is the new culpret but 'it, does any one know "the" belt # to bypass a/c on a vin 3 zetec? it's not the one for the none a/c cars cause i tried that and it's way off and i don't have the time to play with string or guess 6 times so

I've never heard of the belt for a non-a/c equipped car not working.. In all the years I've seen this question come up, someone would recommend the non-A/C belt and they would return in a few days thanking them.

didn't work today, goodyear belt and it had diagrams of what it fit on the box. 2 furd 2L engines, one exactly my car with a/c(which was way too small when i tried it that way) and another diagram with the "pully distances" a bit off and no a/c(which was too loose) i'm not a retard eithier, i had it routed correctly. i checked twice to make sure. the numbers on the belt matched the box too so it wasn't a miss box...
