Ive been doing lots of re-SEARCH on the boards about this problem. It looks like a combination of the PCV system and the valve cover breathers causing it. I've found plenty of info on building PCV separators, but nothing on a "complete" fix for the problem, or anything on the valve cover vents specifically.

What I'm looking for is:
- Where do I get some good catch cans to run for the breathers?
- Any tips or suggestions on setting these up, with or without a separator.
- General discussion about this problem, since most post on the subject are kind of old.

I'm about to do a UIM/LIM cleaning and I want to fix this problem instead of just keep putting a band-aid on it over and over again.

The problem is old. I have had this problem since my '68 T-Bird.

Steeda also makes one.

You can also use a pneumatic coalescer separator for a compressed air system (1/2 inch).

If the engine has too much blowby though, nothing will work.

Rogerm60 is on the right track.

A good method of catching the oil is to use a oil trap from an air compressor.

I looked around for "coalescer separators" and found these:

Correct me if Im wrong, but wouldn't this work just like one of the homeade air/oil separators others are running on here?

There's a thread floating around here somewhere...I believe someone used one of the compressor seperator things purchased from walmart....

Well I found a nice inline air/oil filter at Home Depot for $11, and it was small enough. Only thing is it had a polycarbonate bowl that was only rated to 125 degrees, and a big warning sticker not to run synthetic oils or other "flammable" fluids through it. So I'll have to find something more heavy duty.
