If I have an auxiallry oil pressure gauge?

In the stock sending unit port I currently have a "tee" fitting with the stock sending unit and oil accumulator attached. It's very cramped with all of this right next to the oil filter/cooler. It looks like with the "tee" at full tight, the stock sending unit is pointing right at the oil cooler, leaving no room to attach sensor head onto the sending unit stem.

Can I leave it unplugged without upsetting the computer (throwing a code, etc..)? If it would negatively affect it somehow, can it be remedied with a chip (or tuning software)?

Thanks,
Randy

I think I tried that once a year or so ago - the car would not start. I believe the PCM needs to see some oil pressure before it will light fires.
