My wife drives a 1998 Mystique with the V6 engine and auto tranni. There are a few problems on this car that I can't fix so am hoping that someone here can help me.

Problem #1
The fuse for the keyless entry keeps blowing a few weeks after replacment. When it blows the radio and the clock also go out. This fuse never blows immediately after replacement. Many months ago the keyless trunk opener stopped working and I am wondering if maybe the radio module is defunct in some way and this is causing the fuse to blow. The doors work OK from the key fob. I have searched but can't find this unit. Where is it located? After I have found the module I want to unplug it and see if that stops the fuse blowing. If not, well, guess it's trial and error time. Any suggestions as to where the module is located and anything else that may cause this particular fuse to blow?

Problem #2
Whenever the brake is pressed the safety solenoid at the bottom of the gear shift clicks very noisily and is extremely irratating. This problem only started two weeks ago. Does the computer in some way register the first time after a start to hold this solenoid in? Is it designed to operate every time the brake pedal is depressed? If so, what can I do to stop the noise? I have temporarily locked the solenoid to hold it in one position, but this means that the gearshift can now be pulled out of park without the brake pedal being deperessed.

Problem #3
When accelerating rapidly (full throttle) the tranni shifts with a bang. It is OK with normal driving. Is this normal for this car or is it something that I can fix? If so, any suggestions?

Thanks in advance for your help. BTW, I am in a remote area so can't go to a library to check wiring diagrams etc. The dealers here are not much help either.

#1:
behind the glovebox, behind the premiumound amp (if equipped)...

#2:
check your taillight fuses... also search for a thread on this exact situation posted within the last two or three weeks..

#3:
search in troubkeshooting or transaxle for "bang shift" or vss(or tss) sensor replacement..

sorry so short.. broke one hand..

Alldata.com lets you get online diagrams for less than 20 bucks a year. Quite handy. The courtesy lamps 7.5Amp brown color fuse number 29, if blown or missing causes the clicking solenoid, I discovered that clicking when I pulled the fuse to disable my dome lights while fixing that shift interlock system last fall...

The factory CD is a one time purchase, and gives the same info, FWIW.

Thanks guys for the info. Have not had time to work on the car until a few minutes ago and now find that the plot thickens. Dare I say it is getting Mystiqerous?
Here is the latest:
Under the instrument panel on the LH side is a fuse box. Fuse #35 (7.5A) was blown once again. This fuse appears to be for the electric mirrors, interior lights, clock, keyless entry and radio. Not sure what else.
Fuse #29 that FavoriteMystaque mentioned is not a 7.5A but is a 30 amp according to the decal and what is in the slot.
Today I found a really wierd problem after I replaced fuse #35 yet again. Everything works, but now I can't get the key out of the ignition. The only way I can remove the key is to remove the fuse I just replaced, #35. When I remove the fuse I hear a mechanical click from the vicinity of the igniton switch and the key slides out. Put the fuse back and the key locks in. So am forced to leave the fuse out so that my wife can remove the igniton key.
I used a tester to check for power on all the fuses and found that some fuses have no power either side of the fuse even with the engine running. Why would that be and what puts power to these fuses?
I am pretty good at troubleshooting electrical problems but am stumped on this one, particularly as I don't have an electrical diagram.
Don't know if this makes a difference, but this car was made and sold in Mexico.

Looks like F35 in the CJB is the park-/turn lamps in the right front, and right rear.

Fuses are always going to have power..

There are commonly relays between the battery (source voltage) and the fuse itself. The relay may not be on until you trigger it (turn lights on, etc, etc)

Just because fuses have no power doesn't mean there is a potential problem on that line.

Let me look in to the ignition locking, etc..

That click is the ignition interlock. Make sure you have the gearshift in park. You might want to check all your fuses are correct, and no others are blown. I have the diagram for the interlock system. (I might have made a clerical error on the fuse number.)

I have done more checking and still can't figure this one out. Just for kicks I physically removed every fuse I could find, even the ones under the hood and visually checked every one. There are no blown fuses except the one I am fighting with. As soon as I install that fuse the ignition key locks in and can't be removed until the fuse is removed. Once the fuse is installed the radio, key fob, interior lights, clock and mirrors work properly. When this problem started all it did was blow the fuse every few weeks. Now the key problem has cropped up. So to be able to drive the car the fuse has to be removed and all the other stuff will not work.
Can't help but wonder if all this is somehow tied in with the solenoid clicking on the gearshift every time the brake pedal is depressed.
Anybody have any ideas about these problems?

On another post I read that someone can supply a CD with wiring diagrams but now can't find it. Did a search but still no luck. Can someone please let me know who or where I can get a CD with wiring diagrams?

I may have inadvertantly given some of you a bum steer on this problem. I thought this car was a 1998 but today I took a look at the door post 'tag'. It tells me that this car was munufactured in 4/97. Would this make a difference in troubleshooting this problem? Has the wiring or electrics changed much from a 97 to a 98?
Still have not had much time to dig into this problem but so far the little I have dug, can't find anything wrong. Need to fix this problem ASAP as my wife is on my case about this. Some of you may know how this is.
On top of the key not being removable once the fuse is installed, I notice that with the fuse out that sometimes now the key does not go in as easily as it used to. Anybody with any suggestions?
